Latisse solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Latisse solution contains an active ingredient called bimatoprost and in-active ingredients like benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, dibasic, citric acid and purified water.

Latisse affects the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways; first, it increases the length of the phase, and second, it increases the number of hairs in the growth phase. Latisse solution should be applied to the base of upper eyelashes only by FDA approved sterile applicators, which are specially designed and manufactured to meet FDA standards.
